APDLS, Inc. exclusively occupies approximately 1200 sq ft
in a 10,000 sq ft building at 2701 Carolean Industrial Drive in State College PA. This laboratory space
is equipped with appropriate laboratory benches,cabinets, cupboards, chemical and biological hoods, solvent and gas storage
space and water source. Major equipment available for this research includes: 2 phase contrast microscopes,
epifluorescence microscope, dissecting microscope, spectrophotometers, fluorometric microwell plate reader and associated
computer, solid-phase extraction systems, lyophilizer, vacuum pumps, vacuum oven, vacuum centrifuge, 3 clinical centrifuges,
high speed centrifuge (Sorval T21), pH meter, semi-micro balance, electric water baths, 37C and 60C incubators and miscellaneous
laboratory equipment (pipettors, glassware, disposables). Power supply and chambers for electrophoresis
and blotting are available. Desk and laptop computers are available. Facilities meet
applicable federal, state and local laws concerning handling of hazardous materials, environmental emissions, etc. Secretarial
and support services are available. Note that this laboratory facility is catagorized as a
BSL-1 facility, with suitable equipment and in-house protocols in place to work with a wide variety of
biologicals.
